Compact solar panels

I love these panels. They are pretty small, and fold up in a zip up case and have plenty of outlet choices. I fly FPV aircraft and usually fly with tripod mounted antennas and displays for hours at a time. I bring batteries to power these, but to be on the safe side this solar panel has been my backup. My ground stuff including a few antennas, receivers and a monitor draw ~20w or so, and I've had no problem powering everything off this panel, even on a slightly cloudy day.

Awesome peice of kit!

This thing is very small and easy to carry. It folds up into a very portable profile and is super convenient.
For off road adventure seekers, back packers or mountain bikers, that need to keep their devices charged, I would highly recommend this.
It comes with several adapters for different devices and they all have their own storage so as you don't loose them. This thing could be life saving if you are stranded and have no other way to charge your phone or radio. When used properly, it generates 55-60W in direct sun.
Shipping was fast, we got it in about 2 days from placing the order.

Great portable solar panel

This is a really lightweight foldable solar panel. It has a USB-C port, 2 USB-A ports and a DC port that has several different adapters to plug into various items. I laid it out on my back deck in mostly sun and plugged my phone into the USB-C port to see how it would do. It charged my phone anywhere from 1-2A depending on how much sun it got, which honestly isn't bad. This would be a great addition to your camping gear and would do a good job keeping your phone charged as long as you have a little sun for a while. I'll probably use this to keep a battery pack topped off on my next camping trip.

Quality Built, Perfect For Travel

With external dimensions no bigger than a small handbag, the 60W Foldable Solar Panel from LumOPal is a quality collection of photovoltaic cells just waiting for solar energy to stimulate current flow. Its my understanding the the individual 10W panels are wired in parallel, which is the best option for mixed-lighting conditions. If one or more of the panels is not fully illuminated by the sun, those that are will continue to provide power. In other words, the n=6 panels operate independently of one another. This is definitely the best set-up, at least in my opinion, for a flexible, multi-panel solar panel array. Especially one that might be used in unpredictable sunlight or positioning conditions.

The compact dimensions (10.5 L x 9 W x 3 D) and light weight (3.75 lb) make this solar panel perfect for travel. It folds-up neatly, and supplied with quality buckles to secure the collapsed panels and a heavy-duty handle for transport. If nothing else, its a well designed and executed package of solar panels. Inside the side zip pocket theres a collection of wires (C-type and DC), adapters (DC conversion), and ports for connecting devices, including a power bank or similar to store the solar panel energy. According to the listing description, the ports run fast charge PD and QC protocols via the C-type and A-type USB ports, respectively. However, I did notice that only one of the A-type ports was labeled QC3.0. The other A-type was simply labeled USB. So I dont know if both USB-A ports run the QC protocol, as advertised. And I dont have a compatible device to check. So maybe another reviewer can provide insight on this particular issue.

The only drawback for me in the need for a backstop or fixture of some sort to prop & position the flexible panels towards the sun. And then track. Ill most likely have to rely on DIY skills and scrap materials to build a portably stand. It will have to be 1) compact and lightweight for travel, 2) rigid enough to support the panels, and 3) maneuverable enough to track the suns path. Of course, I could always just lie the panels on the ground, and will do so until a prop becomes available. But it would have been nice if the panels had built-in stands that fold away, like Ive seen with other flexible solar panels.

Unfortunately, our weather has not allowed me to test the panel for output. But as soon as theres a break in the clouds that lets the sun shine I will update this review accordingly. But or now, I feel confident enough in the build quality to endorse the panel with a 4-star recommendation. In fact, build-wise alone its a 5-star. But until I know the collection/output characteristics Ill hold 1-star back.

At the time of order the panel was selling for $79.99. This is a competitive price, considering the build quality and specs. Definitely as good or better than other portable solar panels of similar design. If the performance pans out, as I suspect it will, this panel will certainly be a winner. I will update this review once I have some data to share.

Tidy package that's easy to deploy

Very nice integration of tech into the fabric, making for an attractive package - though the fabric will likely start showing some wear and stains over time. With solar panels, I know to never expect the full rated output, and these are no exception. On a slightly hazy, April day around noon, I was able to manage a peak of about 42W charge to my Bluetti with a bit of contortion trying to find the optimal orientation for the panels. Having a solid backing board would help if you're picky about getting the maximum production from them. But just tossing them down on a horizontal surface (far from an ideal position this time of year in SW Washington) still managed to charge at over 30W.
